Breast enhancement. Will my breasts continue to move like natural breasts?

One of the things that worries the patients the most is, whether the breasts will move as if they were natural. The answer is not easy and I’m going to explain. Let’s suppose that by natural movement we mean the fall of the breasts outwards when the patient is lying down.

If the patient has a chest with a considerable volume and natural tissue before the surgery and a medium sized implant is fitted, at the beginning it will be very ‘tight’ as the patients often describe it. With the passing of time, and this could be around six months at least, the breasts will move more naturally. After a year they will behave like natural breasts. In some patients it make take longer depending on the quality of the skin.

If the patient does not have any volume, none or very little, the implant will feel hard at the beginning and the chest will not move at all. Over the months, the feeling will be more natural, but for the first few years during movement these implants will not behave like a natural breast. It is possible that with a few years it could become more natural. This is clearly seen in those people who are lying face up on the beach and have breasts like two inert mountains. However, the more volume, the more this effect is noticeable.

The truth is, over the years, the breasts become more natural because the skin of the breasts loses the tension caused by the implant, little by little. The skin adapts to the implant and the gravity and the passing of time makes the chest more and more natural.
