When a patient comes for an appointment to obtain facial rejuvenation, its very typical for them to show me in the mirror, pulling their face back with their fingers and saying “ I would like it like this”.

It is right that we can treat the face in many ways; using fillers, adding fat tissue, lifting the facial tissue under the skin, and we can also; treat the forehead wrinkles, remove the bags under the eyes, improve empty eyelids. But it is also true, that the more things that we do, the more we modify the patients face. In my personal opinion, if you change the patients face too much it doesn’t look quite right.

What I like to do is, using techniques to reduce the risks (yes, aesthetic
surgery has risks, which we must not forget) to achieve a natural result. We must reduce the time in the operating theatre to a minimum ( and yes, a facelift can take hours, many hours!!) and achieve the patients expectations without having a strange, exagerated, antinatural aspect that many times you see.

For this patient, we planned a facelift. We didnt touch her neck. Although the patient was relatively good in the neck area we could with certain “little tricks” improve her neck without actually touching it. We also did her upper and lower eyelids.

As you can see, the patient is shown after recent surgery which brings me to say what the recupation is like. In general, after two or three weeks, the patients with simple techniques acheive good results, reducing the possible risks and natural results.
