Breast asymmetry and breast drop in a young patient

Breast asymmetry is present in almost all women. Some more, some less, have some degree of asymmetry. Always. But sometimes, this difference is so marked that it makes the woman come to our office, looking for an improvement.

Sometimes it can only be solved with an implant. At other times, the case is more complex and requires the combination of several techniques and a lot of experience and a lot of skill so that something that is diametrically different, in the end, resemble each other.

I say they look alike, because symmetrisation surgery is exactly that. Symmetrisation. Not breast equality surgery. Equality is something else. In the chest we look for symmetry. That they are as similar as possible to each other, knowing in advance that, they will not be the same although with the certainty that we will do everything possible to achieve the best result.

I hereby leave you a case of a patient with a significant breast drop in both breasts. In addition to sagging breasts despite her youth, she has a right breast, not only more sagging but also larger.

The plan was as follows. Right breast reduction until leaving a similar breast volume to the left. Breast elevation of both with Lejour pattern and superior pedicle in both. Bilateral sub pectoral plane breast augmentation with round implants. Inverted T scars.
